Anglesey Abbey

"One Man’s Vision"
The National Trust property Anglesey Abbey in Cambridge was given to the nation by the late Lord Fairhaven 40 years ago, together with his priceless collection of fine art and treasures.

Now it is being presented in an entirely new way to help the nation’s disabled visitors enjoy the house - as a Virtual Tour.

Until now access has been impossible for anyone with mobility problems because of many steps, so using a simple laptop display the elderly and wheelchair-bound can now easily view Anglesey with a Panoramic Video tour which captures not only paintings and furnishings in full detail, but can display video clips of highlights such as Lord Fairhaven’s fascinating musical automata clock collection using demonstrations which help viewers to feel they are enjoying a personal private view of a very special country house.
