CASE STUDY – HUR UK

HUR-UK is at the forefront of trying to help disabled people, the vulnerable elderly and young gym users to exercise at mainstream facilities – where historically they have often been excluded. HUR utilises a unique pneumatic resistance technology, which provides opportunity and benefit to all, in a manner not previously possible.

filmed a promotional video -  presented at the 2006 “Independent Living Show”  at the NEC - with the Paralympian John Harris (Vice Patron of Axess) and Olympian Hayley Price (Trustee of Axess) demonstrating how HUR’s equipment is designed, so that it meets the needs of wheelchair users and those with other mobility and sensory impairments, enabling them to exercise alongside non-disabled users.

Hayley Price
A double British Gymnastics Champion, she represented Great Britain in World & European Championships and the 1980s Olympics. An experienced TV sports commentator and media presenter, Hayley is the founder of a national sports schools fitness programme.
